Dance Central 3 is the latest installment in the best dance franchise EVER! Recalling the fact that once upon a time players needed to tap arrows on a plastic dance pad, seems more than a decade ago. So 2009, before the Kinect freed us dance players! Amazing freedom to dance, getting the feeling that you’re an amazing dancer, capable of performing any move as shown and practiced. That’s how we experienced the original Dance Central and Dance Central 2. Now it is time to raise the bar, facing new challenges, alone or in innovative massive multiplayer modes

In Dance Central 3, players will dance their way through four decades. Not only experiencing the hits from varied time zones but also the moves that go along with the songs. Recall “the hustle”, “Electric Slide”and the” Dougie”? Or doing some New Kids on the Block moves as seen on their videoclips? No judging if they sound familiar or not, you will learn them eventually. Actually this edition of Dance central makes sure that you perform full-body dance routines. Dance Central 3 Female Gamers Review

All new songs for all Dance Central fans out there! Of course the solid gameplay in combination with the Kinect technology is a perfect match! Those who didn’t had the chance yet to groove, move and perhaps even stumbled on some difficult moves, here’s a short description of the gameplay; pick a song, a dancer and location. Practice step by step by breaking down the song and the moves. Mirror the character’s moves in time to get a flawless score.

For the real deal, just start to perform the dance and follow the sliding flashcards on the side of the screen to watch what next moves needs to be performed and what is expected from you to do. The easy level contains more repetitive moves, and the complexity of moves increases while choosing a more difficult level with more varied and complicated moves. And timing is crucial to get the best scores and the ultimate golden stars. Flawless moves all the way!

Maybe the older songs aren’t appealing to the younger players but you certainly can see that it is a very varied song list to dance to. Dance Central 3 has something new in store to attract the younger audience to dance to all songs. It’s a totally new mode in the Dance Central franchise, called Story Mode. It’s about the return of Dr. Tan, the ugly old creep who seems some kind of mixture of Billy Bob and Wolverine. He’s back for another round at taking over Dance Central and now DCI (Dance Central Intelligence) by stealing / copying moves from the past and present (70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000) to destroy everything we love about Dance Central. Dr Tan managed to brainwash several DCI’s top agents and have them join his army. Can you recall and unlock the special moves to bring them back to DCI, without any brain damage? And while you’re on this duty, can you also get rid of Dr Tan for good?

With successful results, new content will be unlocked such as new dancers, new outfits for the dancers, and new songs. But there is more hidden and special content after you’ve completed the Story Mode but I am not going to reveal too much. If you want more content, well there’s always the in-game “music shop” to expand your dance central library with new songs. It’s also possible to increase the number of songs by downloading songs from the previous two Dance Central games.

Everyone knows that dancing and moving is good for your health, condition, cardio and even body shape. An extra motivation to keep on playing is the fitness mode. Not only does it cumulate burned calories, it even contains pre-made fitness playlists which makes it easier than ever to fit in a quick workout while dancing to the songs you love!

With Dance Central 3, friends will drop by to show their moves. Competition? Oh, bring it on! DC features a new way to play with other dance fans: Crew Throwdown. It’s a party mode where teams can battle against eachother, and each team can contain a maximum of four players. Compete head-to-head in a series of dance battles, performances and fresh mini-games. Sounds a bit like that Dance show on TV, but hey who knows, maybe some practice and try your luck at the real TV show?

From a female point of view, this game is VERY appealing to us gaming and dancing ladies. We want to show off what we’ve got! Love to hear that 6 year old girls are playing this game successfully, but also 39 year old ones. I guess anyone can play and enjoy this game! Maybe it is typical as you have to mirror your character’s performance, that female characters are selected? Well there are some to choose from. Some with a Dance Central history, and some new. Just to name a few: Dare, who likes to party, Taye who gives her best in each DC, Lima, Miss Aubrey,Taye and Li’l T. the girls from the hood and Emilia. Some are available from the start and some needs to get unlocked. That also counts for the clothes they wear! Reviewer / female gamer in action:

Dance Central 3 contains all kind of dance moves and styles which are fun and certainly challenging. It’s obvious that Dance Central 3 raised the difficulty bar to complete the full-body moves. But once you’re able to complete a song with a ranking over 98% (no matter how many times you rehearsed the song), it feels like a golden shower of stars falling down on you. Makes you feel like you really accomplished something big, something to be proud of. And even better, why not share it with your friends, or challenge them online? You even can upload in-game pictures to your facebook account! If you dare … well if you dare the real deal is to have some friends over and battle each other live in your living room. That’s show time! Anyway, don’t expect any Kinect tap-dancing , lord of the dance, or ballroom dancing. It’s not included, but the moves that are included in Dance Central 3 are worth any step, any achievement, and any sweat it will take to dance the night away!
